Naturally, a great cocktail can keep you relaxed and give you something to enjoy the rest of summer with. However, there are many cocktail recipes out there and choosing the best ones for summer is sometimes difficult. Luckily, we have found a few of the best cocktails that you simply must try before you call it quits on all your summer activities. Here are the top 5.

Rose Sorbet

The Rose Sorbet is a classy cocktail that is based around raspberries and rose. After heating the rose and sugar long enough for the sugar to melt, you will add frozen raspberries and the rose/sugar mixture together in a blender. This concoction is then frozen for about an hour before it is placed in champagne flutes. To finish off the drink, add more rose as well as some fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint as a garnish.

Fruity Wine Slushies

During the hot days of summer, drinking cold slushies is always something we want to do. As kids, you could slurp away on just about any kind of slushy. But, as adults, we are looking for something a little more special. This is where Fruity Wine Slushies enter the picture. For this cocktail, you simply need a pound of frozen peaches, a pound of frozen strawberries and 3 cups of pinot grigio. You will then blend the peaches with a portion of the pinot grigio and the strawberries with another portion of the wine. You then layer the mixtures to create a fun design in your glasses and garnish with strawberries.

Frozen Dark and Stormy

The Frozen Dark and Stormy is a masculine style summer cocktail. It calls for a can of ginger beer, a tablespoon of fresh ginger, juice from 1 lime, two cups of ice and 4 ounces of dark rum. After blending everything together, except for the rum, you will divide among two glasses. Top with the dark rum for a completely sophisticated look.

Layered Lemonade Drops

Not only are these cocktails beautiful and look just right for summer, but they are delicious at the same time. However, do keep in mind that this recipe for Layered Lemonade Drops definitely calls for some strong alcohol. To make it, you need 6 ounces vodka a cup each of mango lemonade, pink lemonade and regular lemonade. You will need to blend your pink lemonade with a ½ a cup of fresh strawberries. You will also need a cup of ice. The ice will be divided in thirds and blended separately with each of the three lemonades and a third of the vodka. Chill these mixtures until you are ready to pour them into a glass.

Pina Colada Sangria

Nothing says summer better than a great Pina Colada. But, with this Pina Colada Sangria recipe, you get something even better. To make it, you need a bottle of white wine, 2 cups pineapple juice, 1 cup seltzer, 1 cup chopped pineapple, ½ cup coconut rum and ¼ cup maraschino cherries.
